Concealed carry is the manner in which on has a firearm in either close proximity or on one's person.
Liberal view: “It’s unfair to the taxpayer to ask them to fork out those kinds of dollars,” said Wichita City Councilwoman Janet Miller said. “There is no municipality in the state of Kansas that can afford those infrastructure costs.” A liberal council woman said in regards to barring concealed carry firearms and subsequently needing metal detectors in public places.
Conservative view: “restrictive concealed weapons laws may cause an increase in gun-related murders at the state level.” “States with restrictions on the carrying of concealed weapons had higher gun-related murder rates than other states. It also found that assault weapons bans did not significantly affect murder rates at the state level.” Said by Mark Gius in regards to restricting concealed carry and un-arming law abiding citizens.
Moderate view: People should be able to conceal on their property and not in public.
Some significant events are:
McDonald v Chicago supreme court case
Moore v Madigan, 7th circuit court of appeal. "Second Amendment's right to bear arms 'must be interpreted to include a right to have a concealed gun in public, to have it ready for use, and to have it for self-defense."
Woolard v Gallagher, fourth circuit court of appeal." A good and substantial reason to wear carry or transport a handgun as a reasonable precaution against apprehend danger."
After doing all of this research I still feel that we as a people still hold the right to concealed carry and a licensed individual I intend to exercise this privilege. I find evidence and reassurance of my thoughts and feelings in the bill of rights and within the constitution and the amendments therein.
